本标准规定了三种经济型奥氏体-铁素体双相不锈钢中有害相的检测方法，分别为显微组织检验法、夏比冲击试验法和氯化铁腐蚀试验法。
本标准适用于经济型奥氏体-铁素体双相不锈钢在生产、制造过程（如热处理或焊接)中或长期在一定温度下使用析出有害相的检验，不适用于其他原因导致的经济型奥氏体-铁素体双相不锈钢韧性和耐蚀性降低的状况。本标准主要适用的产品牌号参见附录A。
