Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for automotive steering systems and the requirements for identifying vehicles of the same type, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to vehicles of Classes M, N, and O as specified in GB/T 15089.
This document does not apply to:
——Pneumatic steering systems;
——Vehicles with automatic steering systems.
Note: An automatic steering system (autonomous steering system) refers to an integrated composite electronic control system that enables a vehicle to follow a predetermined or corrected path in response to the reception and transmission of external signals, without requiring the driver to exercise primary control over the vehicle.
