Scope
This document specifies the type dimensions, technical requirements, marking and labeling, and markings of internal hexagonal flat-head screws with reduced bearing capacity due to their head structure. This document applies to internal hexagonal flat-head screws made of steel and stainless steel with thread sizes of M3 to M16, coarse-threaded, performance grades of 8.8, 10.9, 12.9/12.9, A270, A470, A480, and product grades of A, and reduced bearing capacity. Note: The minimum tensile load for reduced bearing capacity (related to the head dimensions and internal hexagonal insertion depth specified in this document) must be marked (with an "0" added before the performance grade). For all sizes and all performance grades, the head bearing capacity is calculated at 80% of the full bearing capacity (see Table 4).
