Scope

This document describes the ion exchange method for removing metal ions from water-soluble plant extracts of agricultural products.
This document is applicable to the removal of major metal ions such as lead (Pb2+), cadmium (Cd2+), mercury (Hg2+), and arsenic (AsO33+), as well as free cations of harmful elements, from water-soluble plant extracts of agricultural products containing polysaccharides, polyphenols, and other components. It is not suitable for extract samples containing carboxyl groups (-COOH) and chloride ions (Cl-), etc. as anions. It is recommended for large-scale processing.
