Scope
This document specifies the principles, objectives, types, methods, equipment, failure criteria, procedures, data processing, and test reports for the bending fatigue strength test of involute cylindrical gears. This document is applicable to determining the basic data required for the design of the bending fatigue bearing capacity of involute cylindrical gears made of steel or cast iron, and is also suitable for comparing and analyzing the bending fatigue performance of gears under different materials, different processes, and different modification methods. Similar tests for gears made of other materials or non-involute gears can be used as reference.

JB/T 8831-2001 The lubrication oil for industrial closed-gear should be selected based on several factors, including the type of gear, its operating conditions, and the expected wear and tear. Generally, the following are the most commonly used oils for closed-gear: mineral oil, grease, and synthetic lubricants. When selecting the appropriate lubricant for your specific application, it is recommended to consult with a professional who is familiar with the equipment you are using
