This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for determining phenoxyacetic herbicides and mesotrione in water. This standard is applicable to surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, and seawater for the determination of mesotrione (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid), 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid), 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2,4-D propionic acid (2- (2,4-dichlorophenoxy) - propionic acid), 2,4,5-T (2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid), 2,4-D butyrate (4- (2,4-dichlorophenoxy) - butyrate), and 2,4,5-T propionic acid (2- (2,4,5-trichlorophenoxy) - propionic acid). The method uses liquid-liquid extraction with a sampling volume of 250 ml and a set volume of 1.0 ml. The detection limit of the method is 0.04 μg/L to 0.06 μg/L, and the determination limit is 0.16 μg/L to 0.24 μg/L. When using direct purification with a sampling volume of 5.0 ml and a set volume of 1.0 ml, the detection limit of the method is 0.5 μg/L to 0.8 μg/L, and the determination limit is 2.0 μg/L to 3.2 μg/L.
