The contents and requirements for self-monitoring by tantalum and niobium smelting units belonging to 3239 other rare metal smelting shall apply to this standard; the contents and requirements for self-monitoring by zirconium and beryllium smelting units shall refer to this standard for implementation. The self-monitoring requirements for self-powered thermal power generation units (plants) and supporting power boilers shall be implemented in accordance with HJ 820. The requirements for environmental radiation monitoring and information disclosure shall be implemented in accordance with the "Measures for Environmental Radiation Monitoring and Information Disclosure by Enterprises Developing and Utilizing Associated Radioactive Minerals (Trial)".

This standard also applies to wastewater discharge units in traditional ethnic medicines such as Tibetan and Mongolian medicine manufacturing industries, as well as wastewater discharge units in veterinary drug production enterprises similar to TCM, biological drugs, and chemical preparations. For wastewater discharge units in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry that use traditional microbial fermentation technologies to prepare antibiotics, vitamins, amino acids, and other drugs, self-monitoring shall be conducted in accordance with HJ 882. For TCM manufacturing units that extract specific drug components for production, self-monitoring of their pollution emissions shall be conducted in accordance with HJ 881. For wastewater discharge units in the TCM, biological drugs, and chemical preparations manufacturing industries with their own thermal power generation units (plants) and supporting power boilers, self-monitoring requirements shall be implemented in accordance with HJ 820.

Wastewater discharge units that produce brick and tile products using materials such as silt (silt from rivers, lakes, and oceans), sludge (urban sludge), and construction waste shall refer to this standard for implementation. The self-monitoring requirements for auxiliary power boilers shall be implemented in accordance with HJ 820.
