GB/T 32800.5-2023 Hand-held non-electric power tools—Safety requirements—Part 5:Rotary percussive drills
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for hand-held non-electric power tools (hereinafter referred to as "rotary impact drilling tools") used for drilling in hard materials such as rock and concrete. Rotary impact drilling tools can be driven by compressed air, hydraulic oil, or internal combustion engines, and are intended for use by a single operator with one or two hands, with or without a suspension device (such as a balancing device).
This document applies to the following products:
— Small blast hole drills;
— Rock drills;
— Rotary hammers.
Note 1: Examples of rotary impact drilling tools are provided in Appendix B.
This document does not apply to the special requirements and modifications of rotary impact drilling tools for installation on clamping devices.
This document covers all noteworthy hazards, dangerous situations, or dangerous events when using the tools under the intended use and in conditions of misuse that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer, except for the use of rotary impact drilling tools in potentially explosive environments.
Note 2: EN 13463-1 provides requirements for the use of non-electric equipment in potentially explosive environments.
