GB/T 32800.1-2023 Hand-held non-electric power tools—Safety requirements—Part 1:Assembly power tools for non-threaded mechanical fasteners
Basic Information
Scope
This document applies to handheld non-electric power tools for installing, fastening, or removing non-threaded structural fasteners, solid rivets, bolts, plugs, and other fasteners that enter metal, plastic, and other materials from one side of the workpiece (hereinafter referred to as "assembly power tools for non-threaded structural fasteners"). Non-threaded structural fastener assembly power tools can be driven by compressed air, hydraulic oil, or internal combustion engines, and can be used by a single operator with one or two hands, with or without suspension devices (such as balancing devices).
Note 1: At the time of publication of this document, it was not known that there were non-threaded structural fastener assembly power tools driven by internal combustion engines. Once such power tools are confirmed to exist, this document will be revised to include them.
This document applies to the following products:
——Riveting machines, riveting or plugging tools;
——Bolt breakout tools;
——Core riveting tools;
——Rivet nut fixers.
Note 2: Examples of non-threaded structural fastener assembly power tools are provided in Appendix B.
This document does not apply to the special requirements and modifications for installing non-threaded structural fastener assembly power tools on clamping devices.
This document covers all notable hazards, dangerous situations, or dangerous events when using the tools under the intended use and in conditions of misuse that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer, except for the use of non-threaded structural fastener assembly power tools in potentially explosive environments.
Note 3: EN 13463-1 sets out the requirements for the use of non-electric equipment in potentially explosive environments.
