GB/T 32800.9-2023 Hand-held non-electric power tools—Safety requirements—Part 9:Die grinders
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for hand-held non-electric power tools (hereinafter referred to as "mold grinding machines") equipped with collet-type grinding heads, files, small steel brushes, and other accessories mounted on handles for grinding and surface shaping, as well as chamfering. Mold grinding machines
can be driven by compressed air, hydraulic oil, or internal combustion engines, and can be used by a single operator with one or two hands, with or without suspension devices (such as balancing devices).
Note 1: At the time of publication of this document, there were no known mold grinding machines driven by internal combustion engines. Once such power tools are confirmed to exist, this document will be revised to include them.
This document applies to the following products:
——angular mold grinding machines;
——reciprocating files;
——rotary files;
——linear mold grinding machines.
Note 2: Examples of mold grinding machines are provided in Appendix B.
Note 3: ISO 11148-7 covers non-collet-type grinding machines that use tapered and plug grinding heads that are screwed in with threads.
This document addresses all notable hazards, dangerous situations, or dangerous events when using the tools under the intended use and misuse conditions that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer, except for the use of mold grinding machines in potentially explosive environments.
Note 4: EN 13463-1 sets out the requirements for the use of non-electric equipment in potentially explosive environments.
