GB/T 32800.10-2023 Hand-held non-electric power tools—Safety requirements—Part 10:Compression power tools
Basic Information
Scope
This document applies to hand-held non-electric power tools (hereinafter referred to as "extrusion power tools") used for extrusion riveting, stamping, forming, and punching of metals, plastics, and other materials. Extrusion power tools can be driven by compressed air, hydraulic oil, or internal combustion engines, and can be used by a single operator with or without a suspension device (such as a balancing device) with one or two hands.
Note 1: At the time of publication of this document, there was no information about the existence of extrusion power tools driven by internal combustion engines. Once such power tools are confirmed to exist, this document will be revised to include them.
This document applies to the following products:
—— Punching tools;
—— Ring part demolishers;
—— Metal forming tools (edge formers, folding tools, fasteners);
—— Nut splitting machines;
—— Extruders;
—— Printers;
—— Extrusion riveters;
—— Cutting tools with parallel blades;
—— Jaw extrusion pliers.
Note 2: Examples of extrusion power tools are shown in Appendix B.
This document does not apply to the special requirements and modifications of extrusion power tools for installation on clamping devices.
This document covers all noteworthy hazards, dangerous situations, or dangerous events when using the tools under the intended use and misuse conditions that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer, except for the use of extrusion power tools in potentially explosive environments.
Note 3: EN 13463-1 sets out the requirements for the use of non-electric equipment in potentially explosive environments.
