GB/T 18015.3-2007 Multicore and symmetrical pair/quad cables for digital communications—Part 3:Work area wiring—Sectional specification
Basic Information
Scope
This part is used in conjunction with GB/T 18015.1. This cable is specifically designed for work area cabling as defined in GB/T 18233. This part includes cables for work area cabling that are not individually shielded with wire pairs. The cable core of this type of cable may have overall shielding. This cable is suitable for use in various communication systems as specified in relevant detailed specifications. The cables included in this part should operate under the voltage and current typically used in communication systems. These cables should not be connected to low-impedance power sources such as public power supplies. The recommended temperature range for cable installation and operation is specified in the detailed specifications. Note 1: For all types of cables, the nominal characteristic impedance of the cable link measured in the frequency range of 1 MHz to the specified maximum frequency according to GB/T 18015.1-2007 should be 100Ω, 120Ω, or 150Ω. Note 2: The attenuation should not be more than 50% greater than the attenuation value of the corresponding types of cables. Note 3: The resistance may be 20% greater than the resistance of the corresponding types of cables.
