Scope

This standard specifies the chemical analysis methods for refractory materials and products composed of oxides, as well as technical ceramics. The samples are prepared by casting glass plates, and the measurement is conducted using X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (hereinafter referred to as XRF). The measurement range (mass fraction) is 0.01% to 99%. Note: For components with a content greater than 99% (on a dry basis), all existing trace components and combustion losses should be measured, and the values should then be determined by subtraction. These values should also be verified by direct measurement.
