Scope

This part of GB 10395 specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of unloaders installed in fixed circular silage pits for discharging silage and similar feedstuffs (hereinafter referred to as "unloaders"), and also stipulates the types of safety operation information that manufacturers should provide. This part does not specify the technical requirements for the installation or removal of unloaders when moving silage pits.
This part applies to low-speed electric silage pit unloaders that operate on the upper surface of the silage feed layer.
This part only addresses the hazards posed by the unloaders, and does not address the hazards posed by the silage pit system itself (for example, the hazards posed by the generation of gases).
This part does not consider environmental factors.
