Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for the weldability test of marine engineering structural steel, including butt welding test, surfacing welding test, and controlled thermal stress (CTS) test. This document is applicable to the weldability test of marine engineering structural steel, such as steel plates with a thickness of no more than 150 mm and hot-rolled H-section steel with a thickness of no more than 63 mm.
