Scope
This standard specifies the general principles and methods for infrared thermal imaging inspection of wind turbine blades. This standard is applicable to the inspection of wind turbine blades during the production process, delivery, repair of local damage, and operation and maintenance. This standard does not establish evaluation criteria. The definition of defects and specific criteria are determined by manufacturers, users, and inspection parties through consultation. This standard does not fully provide safety requirements for inspection. All parties using this standard have the obligation to establish appropriate safety and health guidelines before conducting inspections.
