Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, dimensions and tolerances, inspection rules, and quality certificates for spheroidal graphite cast iron pipes, fittings, accessories, and their interfaces for water and gas applications, which are processed by any type of casting process or assembled from cast iron components. It also provides type-test requirements for interface components.
This standard applies to pipes, fittings, and accessories that include sockets, flanges, and sockets, which are generally delivered in a state of internal and external coating. The interface size range is from nominal diameter DN40 to DN2,600, and the fluid temperature is 0 °C to 50 °C.
