Scope
This standard specifies the general technical requirements, scope of supply, factory and on-site testing, and commissioning requirements for power generation motors and their ancillary equipment.
This standard applies to three-phase, 50 Hz, reversible salient-pole synchronous power generation motors (hereinafter referred to as power generation motors) directly connected to water pumps and turbines with a rated capacity of 100 MVA or more. Units with a rated capacity of less than 100 MVA or units operating at a frequency of 60 Hz may refer to this standard for implementation.
