Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the grade and specifications of dried sea cucumbers, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to dried sea cucumbers made from Stichepus japonicus, which undergo processes such as gut removal, boiling, and drying. Dried sea cucumber products made from other species of sea cucumbers can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
