Scope

This document specifies the preparation and testing methods for polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) molding and extrusion materials. It stipulates the requirements for processing and/or conditioning test materials before molding or testing samples. The performance testing methods are selected from the general test methods in GB/T 19467.1. The document also lists other test methods widely used or of particular significance for molding and extrusion materials, as well as the methods for determining the characteristic properties in GB/T 15597.1. To ensure the reproducibility and repeatability of test results, it is necessary to use the sample preparation and conditioning methods specified in this document, as well as the prescribed sample sizes and testing methods. Test data obtained from samples prepared under different conditions or using different sample sizes may be inconsistent.
