GB/T 17215.323-2022 Electricity metering equipment (AC)—Particular requirements—Part 23:Static meters for reactive energy(classes 2 and 3)
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the type test requirements and test methods for stationary reactive energy meters (hereinafter referred to as "meters") with accuracy classes 2 and 3, newly manufactured and used for measuring AC reactive energy in 50 Hz or 60 Hz power grids.
For objective reasons, this document is based on the traditional definition of reactive energy involving sinusoidal current and voltage with only the fundamental frequency.
Note 1: Other general requirements of the meters, such as safety and reliability, are specified in GB/T 17215.231 and GB/T 17215.9 (all parts).
This document applies to the following energy measurement equipment:
——Measuring and controlling reactive energy in power grids (power sources) with AC voltages of 600 V or lower.
Note 2: For AC energy meters, the above-mentioned voltage is the line-to-line voltage derived from the nominal voltage, as specified in Table 7 of GB/T 17215.231—2021.
——All functional units, including additional modules, are enclosed in a meter case or form a separate meter case, except for indicating displays;
——Using integrated or separate indicating displays, or without indicating displays;
——Installed in specified supporting sockets or racks;
——Optionally providing functions other than energy measurement.
Meters designed for use with low-power instrument transformers (LPIT, defined in the GB/T 20840 series of standards) are only considered to comply with this document if these meters and their LPITs are tested together and meet the requirements for directly connected meters.
Note 3: Modern energy meters typically include additional functions, such as measuring voltage amplitude, current amplitude, power, frequency, power factor, etc.; measuring power quality parameters; load control functions; transmission, timing, testing, settlement, and recording functions; data communication interfaces and related data security functions.
