GB/T 9706.266-2025 Medical electrical equipment—Part 2-66:Particular requirements for the basic safety and essential performance of hearing aids and hearing aid systems
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the basic safety of hearing aids and hearing aid systems. This document applies to hearing aids and hearing aid systems (hereinafter referred to as ME devices and ME systems).
If a chapter or clause explicitly states that it only applies to hearing aids or hearing aid systems, the title and the text of the chapter or clause will indicate this. If this is not the case, the relevant chapters or clauses apply to both hearing aids and hearing aid systems.
Except for 201.7.9.2 and 201.9.6, the hazards (sources) caused by the intended physiological effects of hearing aids or hearing aid systems within the scope of this document are not specifically required in this document.
Note 1: See General Standard 4.2
In home care environments, hearing aid accessories (such as remote controls, audio stream processors, battery chargers, and power supplies) can be tested according to applicable standards, such as GB 4943.1 or other applicable safety standards. General standards may also apply. Hearing aids do not have power supply parts intended to be connected to the AC power grid. Hearing aid systems are connected to the power grid through power supplies, chargers, or other types of accessories.
Accessories that have a functional connection with hearing aids can form a hearing aid system. Hearing aid-related accessories that are not physically connected to hearing aids during normal use are not considered application parts, as these accessories do not directly contribute to the intended use of hearing aids.
