Scope

This document specifies the immersion process evaluation, materials, equipment, immersion, heat treatment operations, inspection and acceptance, marking, storage, and management for the immersion of impermeable graphite components in corrosion-resistant coatings.
This document applies to the immersion of impermeable graphite components in the following graphite equipment:
—— with a maximum working pressure of no more than 2.4 MPa;
—— with a design temperature ranging from -70°C to 400°C.
This document does not apply to the following graphite equipment:
—— graphite containers in nuclear energy devices;
—— cast-type graphite equipment.
