Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions, acronyms, and optical characteristics, transmission performance, packaging structure, and other requirements of optical power splitters (hereinafter referred to as "PLC optical splitters") based on planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology. It also describes the corresponding testing methods and stipulates inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage, etc.
This document is applicable to the design, development, production, and inspection of PLC optical splitters and components for single-mode fiber coupling.
