Scope

This document specifies the energy consumption (hereinafter referred to as "energy consumption") limits, technical requirements, statistical scope, and calculation methods for monocrystalline silicon and germanium products. This document applies to enterprises that produce photovoltaic-grade monocrystalline silicon (hereinafter referred to as "monocrystalline silicon") by reducing trichlorosilane with high-purity hydrogen, and to enterprises that produce high-purity germanium tetrachloride, high-purity germanium dioxide, zone-melted germanium ingots, and germanium single crystals using germanium concentrate and recycled germanium raw materials. This document is not applicable to the energy consumption calculation of enterprises producing electronic-grade monocrystalline silicon and monocrystalline silicon using the fluidized bed method of silane production.
