Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the installation, modification, removal, maintenance, inspection, and operation of construction lifts (including protective devices for lift channels), and provides recommendations and guidance for the management of these operations. It also includes the responsibilities of the units that use and supply these lifts, as well as the duties and qualifications of relevant personnel.
This standard applies to temporarily installed power-driven construction lifts used at construction sites (hereinafter referred to as "lifts").
