Scope

This part of GB/T 31301 specifies the safety requirements related to the definition, design, structure, transportation, installation, adjustment, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of milling machines and engraving machines. This part includes all major hazards, dangerous states, and dangerous events related to milling machines and engraving machines within the scope of this part that may arise from the intended use and foreseeable misuse of the milling machines and engraving machines by operators (see Appendix A).
This part applies to milling machines and engraving machines used in the footwear industry to obtain shoe parts or shoe molds by cutting and removing materials (see Appendix B for model schematics).
This part does not apply to machines used for punching, grinding, and chip removal processing.
