GB/T 31032-2014 Welding and acceptance standard for steel pipings and pipelines
GB/T 31032-2014 Welding and acceptance standard for steel pipings and pipelines
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the gas welding and arc welding processes for butt joints, angle joints, and socket joints of carbon steel and low-alloy steel pipes and fittings used in transportation pipelines, pipe networks, valve chambers, and stations for crude oil, refined oil, gas, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and other media, as well as the welding processes for collection and transportation systems. The applicable welding methods include electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, gas shielded arc welding with or without melting electrodes, flux-cored arc welding, plasma arc welding, gas welding, or combinations thereof. The welding methods include manual welding, semi-automatic welding, motorized welding, and automatic welding, or combinations thereof. The applicable welding positions include fixed welding, rotating welding, or combinations thereof. This standard also specifies the processes for radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, and ultrasonic testing, as well as the acceptance criteria for field welds using destructive testing or radiographic, magnetic particle, penetrant, ultrasonic, and visual inspections. This standard applies to the welding of new pipelines, in-service pipelines, and repaired pipelines.
