Scope

This document specifies the environmental conditions for environmental testing of measuring instruments, the technical requirements and testing methods for type evaluation, and the test severity levels. It also provides the technical requirements and test methods for routine performance testing, environmental climate testing, mechanical performance testing, power supply performance testing, electromagnetic environmental interference testing, and power supply-related performance testing under different test severity levels.
This document is applicable to the environmental testing for type evaluation and routine testing of measuring instruments.
Note 1: This document does not include requirements for instruments that are not affected by external factors, such as zeroing devices and accumulators.
Note 2: This document does not address tests related to the safety and electromagnetic radiation of measuring instruments themselves.
Note 3: This document does not address tests related to the transportation of measuring instruments when they are not in operation.
Note 4: This document does not address remote protocols for measuring instruments.
