Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and packaging labeling requirements for perishable foods such as fruits and vegetables (hereinafter referred to as fruits and vegetables) in the pre-cooling, refrigeration, transportation, and sales stages, as well as the interfaces between these stages.
This standard applies to fresh vegetables (including edible fungi) and fruits that have not been processed or have undergone primary processing and are intended for human consumption.
This standard does not apply to quick-frozen perishable foods such as fruits and vegetables.
