TSG R0006-2014 Supervision Regulation on Safety Technology for Gas Cylinder
This regulation applies to seamless gas cylinders, welded gas cylinders, welded insulated gas cylinders, wrapped gas cylinders, gas cylinders with internal packing, and gas cylinder accessories used in normal environmental temperatures (-40°C to 60°C, Note 1-1) with a nominal volume of 0.4L to 3000L and a nominal working pressure of 0.2MPa to 35MPa (gauge pressure, same below) and a product of pressure and volume greater than or equal to 1.0MPa·L, for storing compressed gases, high (low) pressure liquefied gases, low-temperature liquefied gases, dissolved gases, adsorbed gases, liquids with a standard boiling point equal to or lower than 60°C, and mixed gases (two or more gases). Fire extinguisher gas cylinders and large-capacity gas cylinders used in fire-fighting vehicles, long-tube trailers, and tube-type containers, or for storing electronic gases, shall comply with the design, manufacture, and materials specified in this regulation. The main types of gas cylinders covered by this regulation, their designations, and corresponding product standards are listed in Annex A. For gas cylinder accessories within the scope of application specified in Section 1.2 of this regulation, in addition to complying with this regulation, they shall also comply with the provisions of the "Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinder Accessories" (TSG RF001). For vehicle gas cylinders (Note 1-2), in addition to complying with this regulation, they shall also comply with the provisions of the "Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Vehicle Gas Cylinders" (TSG R0009). This regulation does not apply to fire extinguisher gas cylinders that only withstand instantaneous pressure during fire suppression and do not withstand pressure during storage, fixed-use cylindrical pressure vessels, and gas cylinders used in military equipment, nuclear facilities, aerospace vehicles, railway locomotives, maritime facilities, and ships, or specialized equipment for civil airports.
