Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage and transportation requirements for valves used in liquid hydrogen (hereinafter referred to as "valves").
This document applies to shut-off valves, check valves, ball valves, pneumatic control valves, and fusible cut-off emergency valves used in liquid hydrogen, with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN160 and a pressure rating not exceeding Class 900, and featuring vacuum jacket insulation measures and welded connections.
