Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking and packaging for pure Modal fibers (cotton-type staple fibers) and pure-color yarns blended with combed cotton (hereinafter referred to as "Modal pure-color yarns"). This standard applies to the quality assessment of ring-spun Modal fibers with a blending ratio of more than 10% and pure-color yarns blended with combed cotton, including yarns for knitting and weaving. This standard does not apply to the quality assessment of pure-color yarns made from Modal fibers for special purposes.
