Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for closed rubber and plastic mixing machines (hereinafter referred to as mixing machines).
This standard covers the terms and definitions, hazard listings, safety requirements and measures, verification of safety requirements and measures, and usage information related to the safety requirements of mixing machines.
This standard stipulates the safety requirements for the interaction between mixing machines and auxiliary equipment.
Chapter 4 of this standard covers all major hazard listings.
This standard does not include safety requirements for the design of exhaust systems and auxiliary equipment.
The safety requirements and measures specified in this standard apply to all mixing machines defined in Section 3.1 for processing rubber and plastics, without limiting the machine size or the drive method of the feeding and discharging doors.
