Scope

This standard specifies the classification, interface characteristics, information, usage conditions, structural and performance requirements, and verification requirements for low-voltage withdrawable switchgear and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as "switchgear").
This standard applies to withdrawable switchgear and control equipment installed indoors under normal operating conditions, with a rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC, used for power distribution and motor control.
Note: Switchgear with a rated working voltage of 1,140 V VAC may be implemented in accordance with this standard. Requirements such as dielectric performance shall be determined through consultation between the manufacturer and the user.
