Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, measurement methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of hand-tufted glue-backed carpets, also known as hand-tufted glue-backed carpets (hereinafter referred to as hand-glue-backed carpets).
This standard applies to the quality assessment of hand-glue-backed block carpets, which use wool, acrylic, nylon, or wool-blend yarns as the pile material. The yarns are tufted into the base fabric using specialized hand-tufting tools to form a pile row. The pile is then fixed to the backing with an adhesive. Block carpets or full-area hand-glue-backed carpets made from other fiber materials can also be used as reference for this standard.
