Scope

This standard specifies the water quality requirements for feedwater, boiler water, steam return water, and makeup water during the operation of industrial boilers. This standard applies to fixed steam boilers, combined steam-water boilers, and hot water boilers with a rated outlet steam pressure of less than 3.8 MPa and using water as the medium. This standard does not apply to boilers made of aluminum.
