Scope
This standard specifies the rules, requirements, and methods for the design and calculation of tower cranes as defined in GB/T 6974.3.
This standard applies to:
——Tower cranes that can be assembled and disassembled;
——Tower cranes that are permanently installed;
——Tower cranes powered by electricity or internal combustion engines (engines);
——Tower cranes of other types or for other purposes.
This standard does not apply to:
——Mobile cranes that can be equipped with tower bodies;
——Installation masts with or without booms;
——Tower cranes manufactured before the standard was issued.
