Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of oyster sauce.
This standard applies to seasonings made from fresh oysters that are steamed and concentrated, mixed with sugar, salt, starch, and MSG. Other shellfish, such as mussel juice, can be referenced for implementation.
