TSG G8001-2011 Examination Rules for Boiler Water (Medium) Treatment Inspectors

Article I: In order to standardize the assessment of boiler water (medium) treatment inspectors and improve the quality of boiler water (medium) treatment inspection and testing work, these rules are formulated in accordance with the "Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Special Equipment" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"). Article II: These rules apply to the assessment and management of boiler water (medium) treatment inspectors within the scope specified in the Regulations. Article III: Personnel engaged in boiler water (medium) treatment inspection and testing work shall pass the qualification assessment for water (medium) treatment inspectors stipulated in these rules and obtain the "Special Equipment Inspection and Testing Personnel Certificate" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (hereinafter referred to as the "National Quality Supervision and Inspection Administration") (see Annex A) before they can engage in boiler water (medium) treatment inspection and testing work for corresponding projects. Article IV: The levels of boiler water (medium) treatment inspectors are divided into inspectors, inspectors, and senior inspectors, and the inspection and testing items are divided into boiler water treatment inspection and organic heat carrier inspection. The permitted scope of work is shown in Annex B. Article V: After special equipment inspection and testing institutions employ certified boiler water (medium) treatment inspectors, they shall apply to the China Special Equipment Inspection Association for the registration of special equipment inspection and testing personnel in a timely manner. Article VI: The assessment of boiler water (medium) treatment inspectors shall be organized and implemented by the examination institutions designated by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Administration.

This regulation does not apply to waste heat boilers.

TSG R0004-2009 Supervision Regulation on Safety Technology for Stationary Pressure Vessel

This regulation applies to pressure vessels that meet the following conditions simultaneously: (1) A working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa (Note 1-2); (2) A product of working pressure and volume greater than or equal to 2.5 MPa·L (Note 1-3); (3) A medium contained in the vessel being a gas, a liquefied gas, or a liquid with a maximum working temperature equal to or higher than its standard boiling point (Note 1-4). Among these, ultra-high pressure vessels shall comply with the provisions of the *Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Ultra-High Pressure Vessels*, non-metallic pressure vessels shall comply with the provisions of the *Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Non-Metallic Pressure Vessels*, and simple pressure vessels shall comply with the provisions of the *Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Simple Pressure Vessels*. Note 1-2: Working pressure refers to the maximum pressure (gauge pressure) that a pressure vessel may reach during normal operation. Note 1-3: Volume refers to the geometric volume of the pressure vessel, calculated based on the dimensions specified in the design drawings (excluding manufacturing tolerances) and rounded to the nearest integer. Generally, the volume of internal components permanently connected within the pressure vessel shall be deducted. Note 1-4: For vessels containing a liquid with a maximum working temperature below its standard boiling point, if the product of the gas phase space volume and working pressure exceeds 2.5 MPa·L, these vessels also fall within the scope of this regulation. Special provisions on the scope of application: Units using pressure vessels shall refer to the relevant provisions of this regulation for management and be responsible for the safety management of pressure vessels within the scope of this article. These rules apply to the use and management of lifting machinery within the scope specified in the "Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Special Equipment".
