Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the processing, storage, transportation, and sales of meat products from pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, and other animals (hereinafter referred to as livestock and poultry meat) in the cold chain, as well as the technical requirements between these various stages.
This standard applies to chilled and frozen livestock and poultry meat intended for human consumption.
This standard does not apply to meat products.
