Scope

This part of GB 25936 specifies the most basic design and manufacturing safety requirements for pelletizers.
This part applies to pelletizers used for crushing waste plastics, which increase the density of waste plastics, reduce their particle size and/or volume.
This part covers the interface between the outer edge of the feed inlet or the outer edge of the fixed feeding device (such as a hopper) or the feeding system (such as a conveyor, etc.) and the pelletizing chamber, and the interface between the outer edge of the discharge port of the pelletizing chamber and the pelletizing chamber and the discharge system.
This part does not address the hazards posed by the materials being processed (such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) and expanded polyurethane (PU) sponges), which may cause fires and release toxic gases when heated.
This part also does not address the hazards caused by upstream and downstream equipment.
