Scope

This standard specifies the structure, models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of rated voltage 06/1 kV copper core plastic insulated prefabricated branch power cables (hereinafter referred to as prefabricated branch power cables).
This standard applies to rated voltage 06/1 kV copper core polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, or cross-linked polyethylene insulated plastic sheathed prefabricated branch power cables.
This standard does not apply to other equipment and components selected for prefabricated branch power cable systems, such as power distribution devices, which should comply with their own technical standards.
