Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for compressed air energy storage systems used for power storage, including system performance, compression energy storage systems, gas storage systems, heat storage systems, expansion energy release systems, electrical systems, instrumentation and control systems, etc. It describes the system performance test methods and stipulates the system classification requirements.
This document applies to compressed air energy storage systems with a rated discharge power of 1 MW and a rated discharge energy of 2 MW·h or more. Compressed air energy storage systems with other power and energy specifications should refer to this document for implementation.
