Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the terms and definitions, manufacturing process and delivery state, classification and marking, technical requirements, dimensional specifications and section characteristics, delivery weight and delivery length, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for cold-bent rectangular steel tubes used in building structures.
1.2 This standard applies to cold-bent welded rectangular steel tubes used in building structures, as well as other structures such as bridges. Grade I steel tubes are suitable for main components of buildings and bridges and situations subject to large dynamic loads, while Grade II steel tubes are suitable for general load-bearing applications in building structures.
