Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for vacuum low-pressure carburizing and high-pressure quenching heat treatment equipment with a two-chamber structure and a high-pressure gas quenching absolute pressure of 2 MPa, as well as its process, quality control and inspection, safety, hygiene, and environmental protection requirements.
This standard applies to the heat treatment process of steel parts using hydrocarbon gases such as acetylene and propane as carburizing media for vacuum low-pressure carburizing and high-pressure quenching.
