YY 9706.274-2022 Medical electrical equipment—Part 2-74:Particular requirements for basic safety and essential performance of respiratory humidifying equipment
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 9706 specifies the general requirements for the basic safety and basic performance of ME devices and ME systems.
This part applies to medical electrical equipment and medical electrical systems (hereinafter referred to as ME devices and ME systems).
If a chapter or clause explicitly states that it only applies to ME devices or ME systems, the title and the text of the chapter or clause will indicate this. If this is not the case, the relevant chapters or clauses apply to both ME devices and ME systems.
Except for 7.2.13 and 8.4.1, the hazards (sources) caused by the intended physiological effects of ME devices or ME systems within the scope of this part are not specifically required in this part.
Replacement:
This part specifies the basic safety and basic performance of humidifiers and their combinations with accessories, where humidifiers are referred to as ME devices, and the combinations of humidifiers and accessories are referred to as ME systems.
This part also applies to those accessories that the manufacturer expects to be used in conjunction with humidifiers, as the characteristics of these accessories may affect the basic safety and basic performance of humidifiers.
Example 1: Heated respiratory lines (heated wire respiratory lines) and ME devices for controlling heated respiratory lines (heated respiratory line controllers).
Note 1: Heated respiratory lines and their controllers belong to ME devices in accordance with GB 9706.1.
Note 2: YY 0461 specifies safety and performance requirements for other aspects of respiratory lines.
This part includes requirements for the use of humidification functions in different medical applications, such as invasive ventilation therapy, non-invasive ventilation therapy, nasal high-flow therapy, obstructive sleep apnea therapy, and humidification therapy for patients with tracheostomy.
Note 3: Humidifiers can be integrat
