GB/T 39640-2020 Measurement methods for electromagnetic fields of household appliances and similar apparatus with regard to human exposure
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation method for electric field strength and magnetic induction intensity around household and similar appliances, including operating conditions and measurement distances and positions, involving electromagnetic fields not exceeding 300 GHz.
The appliances may be equipped with electric motors, electric heating elements, or both, and may contain electrical or electronic circuits. They can be powered by mains electricity, batteries, or other power sources.
The appliances include household appliances, power tools, and electric toys.
Appliances not intended for general household use but still accessible to the public or usable by non-professionals are within the scope of this standard.
This standard does not apply to:
——Appliances specifically designed for heavy industry;
——Electrical device components intended for fixed installation in buildings (such as fuses, circuit breakers, cables, and switches);
——Broadcasting and television receivers, audio-visual equipment, and electronic musical instruments;
——Medical electrical devices;
——Personal computers and similar equipment;
——Radio transmitters;
——Appliances designed specifically for vehicles.
For multifunctional equipment that simultaneously involves different clauses of this standard and/or other standards, the relevant functions should be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of each clause/standard.
The non-normal operation of the appliances is not considered.
This standard includes the following specific elements for evaluating human exposure:
——Requirements for sensors;
——Requirements for measurement methods;
——Requirements for the operating modes of the test equipment;
——Requirements for measurement distances and positions.
The specific measurement methods apply to a frequency range of 10 Hz to 400 kHz. Unless otherwise specified in GB 4706 (all parts), applianc
