The chapter of GB/T 4706.1—2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety requirements for appliances used to make ice cream and handmade ice cream.
This document applies to single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V, which are used for commercial purposes and are not intended for household use but may pose a danger to the public. For example, appliances used by non-professionals in shopping malls, convenience stores, or farms.
The refrigeration condensing units of the appliances covered by this document are usually portable, but some appliances may be remotely located.
This document also applies to the following types of appliances:
—— Mixers used in the preparation of food for making ice cream and similar pastries, which undergo a heating process before the refrigeration process.
—— Appliances used for storing whipped cream mixtures in refrigeration tanks and whipping cream during the transfer process.
