Scope

This section specifies the static test methods and acceptance criteria for the protective devices of agricultural and forestry wheeled tractors. The purpose of the protective device test is to minimize the possibility of the driver being injured in a rollover accident when the tractor is operating normally. The strength of the protective device is tested by applying loads to the cab or safety frame when the tractor simulates a rollover to the rear or side (except for free-fall situations). This test can check the strength of the tractor's protective device and connecting brackets, as well as the strength of those tractor parts that may be affected by the loads applied to the load-bearing device.
